- Research, research, research.
Like venues and wedding suppliers, oftentimes wedding vehicles can be booked out several months in advance. If you have a particular car in mind, lock it in early. As always, the earlier you book your vehicle, the more likely you are to get your dream car.
- Who’s riding?
So often overlooked, it’s super important to consider who will be riding along and how much space you’ll need. Will the car be only transporting the bride, the groom, the entire wedding party, etc. Will additional people be travelling along? Make sure there’s room for everyone. Knowing how many people will be riding along might dictate the number of cars you’ll need, especially if you’re choosing a two-seater or sportscar.
- Dress size.
This is a crucial one. Consider the size of the bride’s dress and ensure the bride’s wedding dress can fit comfortably. Large dresses with long trains or bulkier skirts can get caught up or wrinkled along the way.
- Choose a car that reflects your personality.
You might want to choose a vehicle that reflects your personality or these/style of your wedding or choose a car that has significance to you both. Anything from VW Combi vans to nostalgic classic or muscle cars to modern luxury vehicles or even an exotic luxury sportscar.
- Pre or post-wedding transport.
Will you be providing shuttle buses for guests to or from the reception to the venue? If you have guests coming from a distance, organising transport for them allows them to relax and enjoy the celebrations without worrying about driving afterwards.
- Get photos!
Remember your photographer will likely capture photos of your arrival and departure, so make sure your car is photo-ready. Likewise, your car can also create a lovely backdrop for your photos as well.
